This two day course provides an introduction to masonry defects, their diagnosis and the preparation of appropriate remedial schemes using Thor Helical Remedial Systems. The course also includes sessions on Shire Piles and Stabilizers and QuickBase Foundation Systems. In addition, we will look at identifying market opportunities, production of project designs, estimating and costing projects.
This course is intended for companies wanting to develop their surveying and specification capabilities within the masonry stabilization field. It is not an introduction to our systems and contractors should already be working within the masonry reinforcement sector. It is a required course for companies wanting to progress from Accredited User to Approved Installer status.
On successful completion of the course, delegates will be provided with Thor Helical Remedial Approved Surveyor Certification.
Qualification of Thor Remedial Surveyors is one of the requirements for contractors wishing to attain “Thor Helical Remedial Approved Installer” status which carries the associated benefits of project insurance, listing and accreditation on the Thor Helical web site and project leads via Thor Helical marketing activities.
The course is accredited by the ABE – Association of Building Engineers
